National Geographic announced today the family bloggers who will participate in the National Geographic Kids Insider brand ambassador program for the 2016-2017 yearlong assignment. During this time, the “Insiders” will get a behind-the-scenes look at National Geographic’s resources, activities, content and projects for kids and families. They will receive review copies of books, magazines and toys, and will be offered interviews with authors, explorers and editors. All “Insiders” are also given a badge to display on their sites.

“This year’s group of digital influencers inspires us with their passion for raising tomorrow’s explorers, conservationists, scientists and storytellers,” said Melina Bellows, executive vice president and creative director of National Geographic Kids. “We’re thrilled to give them a peek behind the yellow border to see what makes National Geographic Kids so much fun for kids and families.”

“This year, we were blown away by the number of truly remarkable applications we received for our program,” said Anna Irwin, director of the National Geographic Kids Insider program. “We are looking forward to introducing our new Insiders to National Geographic Kids and surprising our existing Insiders with new ‘Weird But True’ facts, amazing animal content and experiences and stunning visual storytelling.”
