Executive Vice President of Travel - National Geographic Partners
As executive vice president of travel at National Geographic Partners, Lynn Cutter leads the National Geographic Expeditions business.
Cutter has more than 30 years of general management experience, with a focus on strategic marketing, business development, and online and direct marketing in travel and media companies. Since joining National Geographic in 1998, she has overseen the launch of the successful National Geographic Expeditions program, which now includes six National Geographic-branded expedition ships through an alliance with Lindblad Expeditions as well as cultural and natural history explorations, active adventures, private jet, family, student, photography and custom/private trips. In the past two years, Cutter oversaw the launch of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, a collection of extraordinary hotels that are leaders in sustainability, and a new line of accessibly priced, experiential trips (National Geographic Journeys) with G Adventures.
Prior to joining National Geographic, Cutter held senior positions in marketing and strategic planning at Special Expeditions (now Lindblad Expeditions), The Disney Channel, Bell Atlantic Video Services/Tele-TV and also operated her own consulting practice specializing ins new business launches in travel and media companies, with clients including Discovery Communications and Hearst New Media.
Cutter received her B.S. in marketing and B.A. in journalism from Lehigh University and an MBA from Harvard University. She lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with her husband and their two sons.
