Branded National Geographic Programming Now Available on YouTube

WASHINGTON (May 21, 2007)--National Geographic Digital Media today announced it is extending to the millions of YouTube users its catalogue of award-winning, short-form segments on lightning, hurricanes and tornados; environmental news; and a video series with tips on living a greener life produced for Nationalgeographic.com and the Web. The agreement with YouTube, the leader in online video, will enable the YouTube community to access compelling video highlights from the wide variety of programming produced by National Geographic at http://www.youtube.com/nationalgeographic.

Whether it's watching animals in their natural habitats on Crittercam and the Wild Chronicles series or experiencing the thunderous tornado ripping through the Kansas plains or learning the history of an ancient Maya city, the YouTube community will be able to easily view, rate, comment and share favorite National Geographic clips.
