WASHINGTON (Feb 17, 2012)—National Geographic Books and entertainment media company Rovio announce today a two-book deal that makes National Geographic the publisher of the official companion book to a new Angry Birds game this spring, as well a publisher of a second Angry Birds title in fall 2012.The deal was
acquired by National Geographic Editor Amy Briggs.

The spring title NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ANGRY BIRDS SPACE (National Geographic Books; ISBN 978-1-4262-0992-5; March 20, 2012; $13.95 paperback) features the adventures of new characters who will be introduced in the game along with stunning photos of space and space facts.
The book goes on sale March 20, 2012, two days before the game Angry Birds Space launches on March 22. The book follows the birds as they learn about space, journeying from Earth through the solar system out to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
