PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (Oct. 2, 2014)—National Geographic has selected Craghoppers adventure travel apparel as an exclusive licensed apparel partner for North America, providing National Geographic-branded apparel for the United States, Canada and Mexico at stand-alone retail and online stores.
“We are thrilled to partner with such a storied and revered organization as National Geographic,” said Lindsey Hayes, CEO of Craghoppers North America. “We take great pride in the heritage and quality of our apparel, but we’re equally as proud of our philanthropic efforts around the world. We are privileged to be able to partner with an organization whose brand vision aligns with our own and who will help further cement the Craghoppers brand as a leader in travel apparel.”
“For more than a century, National Geographic explorers and photographers have traveled the world to capture stunning images and collect compelling stories,” said Krista Newberry, National Geographic’s senior vice president for Licensing, North America. “Partnering with Craghoppers, a celebrated world-travel apparel company, allows us to combine our resources and expertise to create quality apparel while also supporting both of our organizations’ global efforts.”
Select key styles will be specifically manufactured for the National Geographic-branded product line. Craghoppers’ National Geographic-branded apparel will be available at retail in spring 2015.
National Geographic’s net proceeds from the sale of these products will support vital exploration, conservation, research and education programs.
